Excellent camera
I have been using Wyze products from the beginning and this has to be one of their best. Picture quality is great and setup is quick and easy. Have one indoors and one outdoors. Night vision is great on both. Don’t know that I like the zoom to motion feature, but it is easy to switch off. I would highly recommend it as an indoor or outdoor camera.

Wyze cam for the win
The v4 has great picture. The spot light works great. I personally am using it with an sd not paid sub. Loads on all easily has stayed connected well. Love the value of wyze. These are such an upgrade from previous versions of you need a 2k cam in an area over 1080p.

You CAN watch past footage without any subscription – as long as youâve inserted an SD card.
Iâm not sure why so many reviewers here are complaining about not being able to see their footage without a subscription. I can view my vids just fine. You just need to click on âSD cardâ and you can see your events that were recorded onto your SD card. Donât scroll on the timeline on the main window otherwise youâll just see your thumbnails and prompts to upgrade.Aside from this UI annoyance (well – itâs an annoyance if you donât know that you have to click on âSD cardâ to see your SD card footageâ¦) everything else is good. I used to own several of their v3 cams and I like the addition of the spotlight and faster response times in this version.The increased resolution didnât seem like much of an upgrade to me. 2K looks much the same as HD on my screenâ¦Iâd still say the cam is very good value for money though.The only reason Iâm not giving it 5 stars is because of the companyâs security incidents affecting previous models. I really hope we wonât see any more terrible responses to security incidents in the futureâ¦OVERALLâ¦Hardware: Very good. Fast response and feels sturdy.Software: Very good (but may not be intuitive enough for certain peopleâ¦)Security: Yet to be seen with this model. And unsure as to whether the company on the whole is improving in this area.Aesthetics: A Borat âvery niceâ.Value for money: Very good.

Wyze cameras keep getting better and better!
Iâve tried just about every camera Wyze makes over the years. Love their products and use them every day. I was pleasantly surprised with how good this new camera is – big upgrade in quality from the previous version. The picture quality is excellent (2k) and the built in light is nice for motion detection at night. It has a nice zoom feature as well when it detects motion (the feature is currently in âpreviewâ) but you can disable it if you donât want it on. Iâll gradually replace all of my older Wyze cameras with this updated version over time.

Decent IF/WHEN It Works and you have Cam Plus
I bought a Wyze Cam v4 to put in a vacation property while I was there for a week so that I could monitor the front door from the inside. I set it up on a Saturday, and everything worked great until Thursday. I got Cam Plus set up and tested sound/person detection and alerting. It really seemed like the camera would suit my needs.At some point on Thursday, the camera stopped creating notifications for motion or person detection, and I could no longer view the live video feed from the app or the Wyze website. The preview image for the camera wouldn’t refresh on the main Wyze app screen either.I deleted the camera from my Wyze app and factory reset it, which fixed the issue for less than 24 hours. I contacted Wyze support and they asked me to send device logs after trying all the troubleshooting I had already performed. I’ll paraphrase the reply I got from Wyze support after sending the logs: “we sent the information to our engineers, maybe they’ll fix the issue in a firmware update at some point. We likely won’t hear back from them about this issue directly.”Frustrated and annoyed, I took the Cam v4 back on my flight home. In case it was an issue with the network where I was, I tested the camera at home. I removed it from my Wyze app, factory reset it, and it’ still not working correctly. The status lights look like it’s fine, but the camera occasionally makes a clicking sound, reconnects, and then continues to not work for viewing the feed. Strangely enough, I can turn the LED spotlight on and off while the live feed is trying to start in the app.I would not recommend a Cam v4 based on this experience. I don’t need a camera that might be fixed in a future update. I need one that consistently works when I get it. Especially when I am using it 1,000 miles from home.

Better Than Ever
I was more than happy with my Wyze Cam Version 3. But Version 4 brings sharper resolution, advanced motion detection, smarter alerts and overall better image and dynamic range. You still have to add a Micro SD card to activate constant recording. I use a 32GB card that spans the last 48 hours at any time. There’s just one catch with this Version 4. To use video recording and motion detection latest Wyze cameras, you need to buy a the $1.99/month subscription. Otherwise, this is very reliable camera. My good experience with the Version 3 made me a fan.

Not compatible with Cam+Lite.
I have been a user from the beginning and, I have over a dozen WyzeCam cameras. Plus a watch and scale. The V 4 is a very good camera with improved video, sound, built in lights,and siren. However I subscribe to Cam+Lite which suits my needs. For some reason the V4 is not compatible with Cam+Lite and has motion only detection if you don’t subscribe to the upper tiers! If I had known that I would have bought more V3 cameras instead.

Great + Budget Friendly
Super easy to setup, mount⦠if using outdoors, I do recommend purchasing their outdoor powder adapter! I already ordered mine. Quality is great, two way audio is a good volume. Donât have to worry about neighbors hearing it. Soren did scare my dog when I tested it out haha.I did install a SD card that I found on Amazon- 2 pack for $16 after coupon. Love that I can share access with my husband easily. My husband isnât tech savvy, but the camera and app are easy for him to use.

I am replacing all of my Wyze V3 cameras with V4 cameras because of the significantly increased resolution and color accuracy. The V4 has 3.6Megapixels, versus 2Megapixels for the V3. The difference is clear. I cropped a small portion of the image from each camera and it’s easy to see the improvement with the V4. For $50 CDN, I think it’s a good deal.

Much better video quality and features from the V3. I’ll have to upgrade all my cams. For about a hundred bucks a year you get all u need for the subscription. Huge piece of mind and fairly priced products….unlike the competition.
