Smooth Application with Staying Power
This beats all foundations Iâve tried so far (Dior, Mac, Clinique, and more) in application smoothness without streaks (applied with dense foundation brush), color match (the color descriptions including undertones are SO helpful), scent (light, sweet, pleasant), finish (Dewey), hydration (keeps my skin radiant and doesnât cling to dry patches), and staying power (lasts all day and night with the elf setting powder)! The coverage is probably light to medium and itâs buildable.I LOVE this foundation. I also have acne prone, oily T-zone/dry combination, fine line, and sensitive skin. This formula makes my skin luminous and it never irritates 🙂

My new best friend, do everything makeup
Iâve spent so much money on costly foundations. None have been perfect. Iâm almost seventy and have tried the foundations for aging skin but none were that great. On a whim, I decided to try this, and I couldnât be more pleased. I got two shades and still need one with a little more color but thatâs not a problem. This makeup is so light and sheer, and doesnât settle into lines, fine or otherwise. I found that I can take concealer off my list because this covers all I need, Eve dark circles, and does it better than anything else. Thereâs no caking, the foundation is buildable, and feels like silk. My face is so soft, it feels like Iâm wearing nothing at all. I use the lighter color to conceal and illuminate without having anything shiny. I donât need that type of illumination. If youâre looking for medium to heavier coverage this probably isnât for you, but it covers and corrects (how, I donât know) everything I need. Dark circles are truly gone without looking like I did something to cover those up. This is my new best friend. Iâm not good with sponges but never used them before. Iâll probably stick with brushes. But everything I need is in two bottles of this, and Iâve spent a third or more in getting one bottle thatâs disappointing. Highlights, foundation, concealer – for under $20. My face feels like silk! One negative thing is that itâs not boxed and comes dropped into a lightly padded mailer bag. Both bottles came âbattle damaged,â big chunks off the thick part of the bottom of each. Fortunately it didnât break through so as long as they donât get another ding on those places I can live with that. What a great find! Iâll be buying more products from e.l.f, definitely abs without question. One shade a bit darker and Iâm set. My face is so soft, and I look like Iâm wearing nothing but a little blush, eyebrow color and lipstick. Extraordinarily pleased. This is the best foundation Iâve ever used! Concealer, foundation and highlighter in two or three bottles for less than a foundation in anything else. e.l.fantastic!

Blends perfectly, but is a bit thin
This is probably the creamiest, easiest to apply foundation I have tried so far. I don’t use a brush, just my fingertips, and some foundations are thick, hard to apply, or make your pores and fine lines more visible. Not this one! All I do is apply it to clean, moisturized skin (I like to use a moisturizer with sunblock built in), and it blends right in! It smoothes and evens out uneven skin tone and makes the skin glowy, which I like. You can’t tell AT ALL that you are wearing any foundation! You can’t see it or feel it. It’s pretty cool. And the price is amazing.However, it’s not perfect. It doesn’t cover everything. After I use it, I can still see the hyperpigmentation on my cheeks, the minor redness on my forehead or the occasional tiny zit or two… Not the way my other foundation from Il Makiage does. I even tried applying as much as 4 layers of the stuff, in the hope that coverage would build -didn’t work.So… I really do like it, but I don’t conpletely love it. I think I might need something with a fuller coverage. Therefore today I decided to use this foundation all over my face, and THEN dot it in the most problematic areas (those with redness and hyperpigmentation) with my trusted Il Makiage foundation -and it looked REALLY good! Sometimes, the Il Makiage foundation settles in my fine lines and emphasizes them instead of hide them (I know they also came up with a blurring product, but I haven’t tried it yet -it’s kind of pricey)… So using both products might be the trick I need -at least for now.

Great lightweight formula exactly matches my skin tone
I’m really glad I ran across this Elf Flawless Satin Foundation. The depiction is great, and I found the perfect match to my skin tone on the first attempt. Just purchased my second bottle. It’s very lightweight and goes on really smoothly over lotion, primer, & concealer using a wedge makeup sponge. It soaks in quickly and doesn’t smudge nor smear. I follow with Wet ‘n Wild Photofocus Translucent Setting Powder and a setting spray. None of that disturbs the Elf foundation. It stays on, doesn’t smudge, feels very lightweight, lasts all day. Easily removed with baby wipe, followed by Clinique ‘Take the Day Off Makeup Remover’ then Clinique ‘Clarifying Lotion 2 Twice a Day Exfoliator’ then Clinique ‘Moisture Surge Overnight Mask’ lotion. When looking for a different foundation, I spent a LOT of time Googling “best of” (not Sponsored, lol) lightweight, waterproof, etc. I had been using Cover Girl Outlast Extreme Wear, but the last bottle was a different consistency and shade even though I’d reordered the same product, so I was on the prowl for a well-like product that had the qualities I wanted. I’m in my 2nd bottle and don’t plan on changing to a different brand in the foreseeable future unless the formulation changes. Easy to color-match to your skin tone, applies quickly, smoothly, evenly, with very little product to obtain full coverage. Lasts all day. Good value for the money…doesn’t break the bank.

Go a shade darker
I purchased the cinnamon because thatâs what I get in other makeup. I am between chocolate and Carmel brown with red undertones ( cheap make up looks reddish on me). The coverage is decent but I definitely wouldâve went to the chocolate instead because on line it looks like my other cinnamons but in person definitely lighter.

This foundation performs far better than many products at 5 times the price. I recently ordered a few different product from the e.l.f line and have quickly become a fan.This foundation provides coverage that evens the skin tone without appearing heavy. Very natural looking and doesnât settle into fine lines like many foundations do. It has a soft, lovely fragrance. I am going to order another in a shade darker for my summer skin tone. Highly recommend.

Nice coverage but alot of waste when reaching the end of glass bottle. I suggest using a sqweeze Bpa free tube.
