Is the ball head itself metal or plastic? Can I use a different head with this?

Yes, the head is removable, it has a standard 3/8″ thread. The clamp, plate, ball head and tension knob are all made of metal.

What are the dimensions of the quick-release plate? How many plates can I get in total？

The top plate measures 1.57 x 1.97 x 0.39″. For quick equipment changes, Manbily offers two quick-release plates, one mounted on the head and a spare plate.

Can I mount a standard smart phone?

Yes, you will need a phone tripod mount to attach a cell phone to the camera tripod. The phone adapter is available as a gift.

What is the twist-lock leg knob made from?

The outer ring of the knob is made from non-slip, high-quality rubber and the inner ring is metal, making the knob stronger and longer lasting.

What are the advantages of a twist lock?

You only need a quarter turn to fully release the tripod legs. If you have large hands, you can easily unlock all legs in one go. Moreover, there are instances wherein people nip their fingers while using flip locks.
