Can this be used without a phone or app?

You can use it as a mike without the phone or app since it has a built in speaker. If you want to karaoke, you can Bluetooth to any device such as phone, tablet, laptop and use YouTube for an extensive selection of karaoke songs.

I purchased this to connect to my Bluetooth speaker we use for parties why can I not connect? Very frustrated!

Because it’s a bluetooth device its self it cant connect to another bluetooth device you would have to use what’s called a master device which would be a smartphone or computer with an app to control your speaker and mic.

I would say any age because this is safe from a connection perspective as its connected via Bluetooth.

The Bluetooth function allows you to play music over the microphone speaker while singing, from phone or pad. You can sing along with karaoke machines or YouTube
